Palm Sunday

Both in church and Sunday School today, we talked about how Palm Sunday wasn't originally like some kind of praise service. It was originally like the Fourth of July. All those people waving palms was just like us waving flags, except that not only was it a national holiday, it was being celebrated under the rule of Rome. There were plenty of soldiers looking down over the temple. The people were so enthusiastic about Jesus, but they didn't understand. They turned against him that very week.
