Yard Sale

The reason I went home this past weekend was that my brother and sister were in a play called Yard Sale. It had the largest cast our home school cooperative has ever had. This is the first comedy we've had in a long time. An older woman is renting rooms in her mansion to college students. She's running out of money, and the first payment on a $50,000.00 loan is due on Monday. She keeps getting all of these strange characters who want to board with her, who are and are not students. My brother was the funniest student, in my opinion. He played a mad scientist. He put gel in his hair and messed it up, and wore a lab coat and glasses. My sister was the tour guide with forever "ooh-ahhing" tourists. Anyway, the students decide to host a yard sale to raise money. Meanwhile, an evil rich guy offers to buy the house in order to make it into a parking lot. At the end, a huge chase starts with the FBI looking for the scientist, game show makers looking for their tapes, and police looking for Napoleon (not Bonaparte, or Dynamite, but the nephew of the landlady). Finally, a yard sale shopper manages to get out of the fray to give a check for $100,000.00 to the landlady for a picture frame. Happy Ending!
